He is 35 years old, has a professional record of 42 victories, no defeat and 26 knockout wins. He has held the WBC super-featherweight, lightweight, light-welterweight, welterweight and light-middleweight titles, as well as the IBF welterweight belt.
The 31-year-old Cotto has a record of 37-2, including 30 knockouts.
He has held the WBO light-welter and WBO and WBA welterweight belts and won the WBA light-middleweight belt when he stopped Yuri Foreman in the ninth round on June 5, 2010. He has recently been elevated to “super champion” by the WBA.
