MISSING IN ACTION: The unavailability of QLD Origin trio Cooper Cronk, Cameron Smith and Billy Slater has seen the Storm line-up undergo a huge re-shuffle for this match. Gareth Widdop moves from pivot to full-back, Rory Kostjaysn slots into the No. 7 position, while the versatile Ryan Hinchcliffe assumes the hooking duties. Maurice Blair has been promoted from NSW Cup to fill the void at five-eighth. Form centre Will Chambers is out for an indefinite period due to a rare blood clotting disorder, but the club can expect forwards Sika Manu, Kevin Proctor and Bryan Norrie all back from injury next week.
Two changes for the Tigers this week, with Origin-bound skipper Robbie Farah replaced by the versatile Tom Humble in the No. 9 jersey. Blake Ayshford returns from injury on the bench, leaving promising rookie Curtis Sironen at pivot. The club is still without forwards Ray Cashmere (calf), Matt Groat (knee) and Gareth Ellis (foot).

FORM: Melbourne have notched back-to-back wins since their shock Round 10 loss to the Sharks. They were tested early against the Warriors across the ditch last Sunday, but the pure class of Slater, Cronk and Smith came to the fore in the second stanza, enabling the competition favourites to escape with a comfortable 22-12 win. The Storm have now opened up a six-point lead at the top of the NRL ladder.

The Wests Tigers extended their winning-streak to six games, following a 40-0 flogging of the hapless Raiders at a rain-soaked Canberra Stadium last Saturday. All of their key attacking stars were on song and the likes of Aaron Woods and Keith Galloway continued to power through the metres up the middle. They are now sitting pretty in the top-four – something that seemed impossible a little over a month ago.

STORM: Gareth Widdop, Matt Duffie, Dane Nielsen, Will Chambers, Justin O’Neill, Maurice Blair, Rory Kostjasyn, Jesse Bromwich, Ryan Hinchcliffe, Jason Ryles, Anthony Quinn, Ryan Hoffman, Todd Lowrie. Interchange: Luke Kelly, Michael Greenfield, Siosaia Vave, Jaiman Lowe, Sisa Waqa, Kenneath Bromwich, Mitch Garbutt (three to be omitted).

TIGERS: Tim Moltzen, Matt Utai, Beau Ryan, Chris Lawrence, Lote Tuqiri, Curtis Sironen, Benji Marshall, Aaron Woods, Tom Humble, Keith Galloway, Adam Blair, Liam Fulton, Chris Heighington. Interchange: Masada Iosefa, Blake Ayshford, Matt Bell, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Joel Reddy (one to be omitted).
